Jacquie Stevens Winnebago
Jacquie Stevens education began with lessons in nature while gathering wild plants and berries with her grandmother. Her interest grew in art and in 1975 attended IAIA and learned pottery from Otellie Loloma, master of ceramic arts. Her unique style contains traditional Winnebago ribbonwork designs. Many of her pots are made with clay containing mica flakes, a mineral that sparkles in the sunlight. “I like the interplay between light and shadow that formed inside my pots.” |
